Education
2004, MA,History of Science & Technology, U.Toronto, Toronto, ON.
I wrote a set of papers on Edison: the historiography of the light bulb, Edison's involvement in medical devices and in early movies. I wrote a paper describing the "Scientific Revolution" as the beginning of technology-science and the end of religion-science.
2001, MA,Dispute Resolution, University of Massachusetts, Boston, MA.
I specialized in public policy. Thus I did a web-based masters thesis, visual sociology, of parking conflict. My practical internships were: three months in divorce court mediation, and a second in small claims court mediation.
1991, MBA, Babson College, Wellesley, MA.
The ground has shifted under 90's marketing, but classic finance lessons still hold: Banks will lend you anything. Borrow only what you can afford.
1980, BSEE, University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, MA.
An early computer engineering BSEE with bit-level programming. I was seduced by Lissajous figures, and then by Hewlett-Packard instruments, whose visual test systems I sold for seven years.
